CBRE has arranged a new 524-square-foot retail lease to Sweet Honey Hawaii at the Outrigger Reef Resort in Waikiki. This Waikiki store will be the third location of the locally-owned kids’ clothing retailer after recently opening a pop-up at Ward Village in addition to their Ka Makana Ali’i store.
“Waikiki is so special; it’s a place of deep history that has made Honolulu what it is today. People from all over the world visit here to come and experience this beautiful energy. The energy we like to call ALOHA. It’s always been my dream to be able to share my designs and love for Hawaii,” said Jennifer Teixeira, Owner of Sweet Honey Hawaii. “It only seemed so fitting to be a part of the Waikiki community, where people come and go from all over the world to visit this place we call home.”
Kelly Graf with CBRE Retail Services represented the Tenant, Sweet Honey Hawaii, in this transaction and The Beall Corporation represented the Landlord, Outrigger Hospitality Group.
“We’re thrilled to welcome the first [Waikiki] retail store for Sweet Honey Hawaii to the Outrigger Reef Waikiki Beach Resort, where they will join other high-quality local retailers and the new Monkeypod Kitchen restaurant,” stated Barbara Campbell, Vice President of Retail Leasing at the Outrigger Hospitality Group.
Sweet Honey Hawaii is a locally- and women-owned business focusing on contemporary Hawaiian styles and prints for a tropical environment.
“I started in a spare bedroom designing for my two kids, both under two years old. Since the kids’ clothing market was very small back then, I was designing and figuring out how I would them something special that no one else offered,” added Sweet Honey Hawaii’s Teixeira. “Everyone loved it, and I ran with it since then, just enjoying what I loved to do and sharing my love for not only textile design, but also fashion design.”
Sweet Honey Hawaii’s newest location is at the Outrigger Reef Waikiki Beach Resort at 2169 Kalia Road in Honolulu, Hawaii.
