Alex Corno is a First Vice President in CBRE's Chicago office, where he specializes in the exclusive representation of shopping center owners throughout the Chicagoland market. He has executed more than 500 lease transactions totaling over 3 million square feet.
Alex brings more than a decade of retail real estate experience, having served exclusively on the principal side as an in-house leasing executive. Prior to CBRE, he was Vice President of Leasing at Pine Tree, LLC, where he oversaw a national portfolio of more than 50 shopping centers totaling over 10 million square feet. In this role, Alex led new leasing, renewals, and assignments, managed a national network of 30 brokers, and played a key role in the acquisition of a $495 million shopping center portfolio by leveraging his expansive retailer relationships during the due diligence process. Prior to Pine Tree, Alex served as Director of Leasing at Site Centers, overseeing a portfolio of 20 power centers throughout the Midwest totaling 5.5 million square feet.
Alex offers a unique perspective to the brokerage side of the business, having spent more than a decade executing strategic, value-add leasing initiatives on the principal side. His background allows him to advise ownership groups with a focus on tenant mix optimization, asset positioning, and long-term value creation.
