David Murphy ranks among the top industrial brokers in the United States. As Vice Chairman at CBRE, he is a Top 15 CBRE Industrial Broker in North America, has been the firm's top overall producer in the State of Florida in multiple years, and has been named Central Florida's top Industrial Broker by the Commercial Real Estate Development Association (CREDA) an unprecedented 25 times.
He leads CBRE's industrial and logistics team in Central Florida, advising clients from local businesses to Fortune 500 companies on land acquisitions, leasing strategy, and high-value dispositions across Florida and North America. Across his 30-year career, David has completed thousands of transactions totaling more than $10 billion in deal volume. Clients rely on him for direct answers on pricing, timing, and which deals will close. He is active in the industry's trade organizations and was named CREDA National Chapter President of the Year.
A Penn State graduate with a Bachelor of Science in real estate, David earned his license at just 18, the summer before his freshman year. He balanced academics and a part-time real estate career while playing for the Penn State Men's Ice Hockey Team, later entering the Penn State Hockey Hall of Fame and playing professionally in the East Coast Hockey League. He serves on the Executive Advisory Board for Penn State's real estate program, where he helps guide the next generation of industry leaders.
