Edward J. “Ed” Cummins has serviced seven of the most high-activity markets in the country for more than fifty years. He currently works as part of CBRE’s Land Services Team servicing investor and institutional land clients. Through strategic partnerships, Ed has successfully created customers, executed deals and generated incentives for people to invest in land. Ed’s former company, Shindler / Cummins Inc. was the second largest brokerage company in Texas. S/C Management Company organized over 100 land investment partnerships. Shindler / Cummins Property Management Company fee managed hotels and offices all over the US. Ed worked with NewQuest Properties, and with Crosswell Torian Commercial Properties prior to joining CBRE.
Throughout his 50+ years in the commercial real estate industry, Ed has closed hundreds of transactions totaling over a billion dollars. One of his most recent transactions was the competitive bidding and closing of 692 acres to Toll Brothers on Riley Fussel (which would later become the Grand Parkway) for the development of an upper-end subdivision. More recently the sale of 300+ acres to a major public homebuilder along the West Beltway in Houston and a $30,000,000 + office building in west Houston.
Ed has also served as an asset manager and consultant for major large land parcel transactions, during which time he was involved in the acquisition, organization, permitting and improving of four Houston area commercial subdivisions, totaling 1,940 acres.
