As a Senior Vice President of CBRE’s Debt & Structured Finance Group, Mr. Hodson’s primary focus is to arrange senior debt, mezzanine debt and equity for a wide variety of apartment/condominium, office, retail, industrial and other properties as well as development projects. The Team is comprised of 11 real estate professionals who work collaboratively with other groups within CBRE to secure funds from a wide range of capital sources including Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac, FHA, life insurance companies, offshore and domestic banks, debt funds, mortgage REITS, endowment funds, sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, family offices, and other sources. Mr. Hodson joined the Team in early 2022 and they closed nearly $4 Billion of debt and equity transactions, and have closed more than $20 Billion in the six years prior to his joining.

Prior to CBRE, Mr. Hodson served as a Managing Director at M&T Realty Capital Corporation where he was responsible for over $1 billion in debt originations with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, HUD and Life Insurance Companies. He has 13 years of experience in commercial real estate finance and has served in various loan origination, underwriting and asset management roles during that time. Mr. Hodson was formerly a member of NorthMarq Capital’s FHA and Fannie Mae production team responsible for over $3 billion in Fannie Mae and HUD originations and he began his career at Wells Fargo Multifamily Capital as an analyst. Over the course of his career, Mr. Hodson has been directly involved in the origination of more than $8B worth of commercial real estate debt and equity.

Mr. Hodson is a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association and National Multihousing Council, and he also enjoys giving back to the community. He is a head coach for Special Olympics Basketball and an active member and past-President of the Kiwanis Club of Washington, D.C. He currently sits on the Kiwanis Club of Washington, D.C. Foundation board where he collectively oversees the Foundation’s investments and budget. He lives in McLean, VA with his wife, Kristen, and two children, Emily and Lucas.
