Located in Newport Beach, California, Shaun and his team represent a range of clients from institutional real estate funds to family offices and private equity investors. Moothart assesses the unique needs of each client and provides a customized financing solution that is aligned with the borrower’s specific strategy. Leveraging CBRE’s extensive life insurance company, CMBS, commercial bank and bridge lending relationships, Moothart and his team customize capital to maximize flexibility and return on investment. With expertise across the major asset classes and capital structures, Moothart’s team in concert with the CBRE capital markets platform offer clients a full range of commercial real estate advisory capabilities.
Over the past 16 years, Moothart has successfully played a key role in the origination, underwriting and closing of debt and equity transactions valued in excess of $5 billion. Shaun is active in the community, with a passion for coaching youth sports and fundraising for the University of San Diego’s endowment, on behalf of the Daniel Burkett Memorial Scholarship.

- Results that were commonplace in the past, in regard to debt and equity origination and placement, now require extraordinary skill and experience.
- The ability to execute on specialized assets that further segment the marketplace requires specialized skill and expertise to source capital.
- We work with over 300 capital sources located around the world including local, regional, and national banks, government agency lenders, insurance companies, conduit/securitized lenders and credit companies. Each specific debt and/or equity request is provided to the capital sources that can best fulfill the short and long-term investment needs of our clients.
