CBRE announced its Capital Markets team in San Francisco will serve as exclusive advisors in the sale of Anchor Brewing Company’s 2.17-acre property in San Francisco.

CBRE’s Mike Taquino, Kyle Kovac, Joe Moriarty, Giancarlo Sangiacomo and Kati Thabit are marketing the property for sale.

Located at 495 and 501 De Haro Street in San Francisco, the property has two buildings totaling 108,728 sq. ft. Brewery operations remain fully functional, with improvements that would be suitable for a new brewery user.

The portfolio may also be repositioned under its current PDR zoning (Production, Distribution and Repair). PDR refers to a variety of activities in industrially zoned areas including R&D, storage, electric vehicle charging and shipping logistics uses. The City of San Francisco’s Planning Department recently expanded the permitted uses within PDR zoning districts to include laboratory uses.

The portfolio is situated in the Potrero Hill neighborhood, which is known for premium retail and restaurants, a growing base of artificial intelligence companies and proximity to Chase Center and Oracle Park.

Anchor Brewing was founded in 1896 in San Francisco and became America’s first craft brewery. In 1993, Anchor Brewing became the first brewery in the world with its own in-house distillery.
