CBRE, a global leader in commercial real estate and investment, announced two new retail leases at Center Point, a mixed-use development currently under construction at the intersection of Eastwood Road and Military Cutoff Road in Wilmington, North Carolina.
The newest tenants, Self Skin Studio and SWTHZ, will further expand the development's growing retail roster and introduce wellness-focused concepts to the project.
Self Skin Studio, a Wilmington-based med spa founded by Trish Holmes, leased 2,589 sq. ft. at Center Point. The practice specializes in natural-looking injectables, advanced skin treatments and best-in-class skincare. Its new location will provide a larger footprint and expanded visibility, allowing the studio to optimize its layout and elevate the overall patient experience in a modern, beautifully designed environment.
SWTHZ, a wellness concept bringing a private, suite-based contrast therapy experience to retail environments has leased 1,820 sq. ft. at Center Point. Each studio is designed with infrared saunas, cold plunges and vitamin C showers, delivering a premium, appointment-based model that drives repeat visitation. With a focus on recovery, longevity and daily wellness, SWTHZ attracts a high-frequency, health-conscious customer and complements a mix of fitness, lifestyle and service-oriented tenants.
Self Skin Studio and SWTHZ will join previously announced tenants Burtons Grill & Bar, Nest Interiors & Blended Shoes + Apparel, Thompson's of Wilmington and Jeff's Bagel Run at the development.
CBRE Executive Vice Presidents Charlie Coyne and Matt Larson, in partnership with Swain & Associates' Sam Lathan, represented ownership in the lease negotiations. Center Point is being developed through a joint venture between The Beach Company, based in Charleston, South Carolina, and Wilmington-based Swain & Associates.
"The addition of Self Skin Studio and SWTHZ reflects the strong demand we're seeing from wellness-oriented tenants looking for locations that offer visibility, accessibility and a built-in customer base," said Coyne. "As Center Point continues to take shape, we're focused on creating a curated mix of uses that will serve residents, employees and visitors while establishing the project as a premier destination in the Wilmington market."
"The range of tenants at Center Point has been thoughtfully curated to create a dynamic mixed-use destination that reflects the evolving needs of the growing Wilmington community," said Morgan Bentivegna, Development Manager at The Beach Company. "The addition of SWTHZ and Self Skin Studio represents another exciting milestone for the project and reinforces our commitment to creating a place where businesses can thrive and the community can enjoy convenient access to quality services and experiences."
Center Point is a highly anticipated mixed-use development located on an 18-acre site in the Mayfaire corridor, just five minutes from Wrightsville Beach. Upon completion, the project is planned to include more than 100,000 sq. ft. of retail and restaurant space, along with residential and office components.
Phase I will include more than 33,000 sq. ft. of retail space designed to accommodate restaurant, boutique retail and service-oriented users. The development is accessible from both Military Cutoff Road and Eastwood Road and includes multiple points of entry connecting to the surrounding area.
Additionally, the project includes The Sterling, a 265-unit apartment community that is now pre-leasing. The community will feature studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom residences and a range of on-site amenities, including a pool, fitness center, multiple courtyards and pet-friendly spaces.
