Colt Stonehill is an Associate with CBRE Capital Markets in South Florida, specializing in the sale of industrial, retail, and office properties throughout the state. Focused on the private and middle-market sector, Colt advises private owners, developers, and investors on the disposition of commercial assets, delivering institutional-caliber analysis and a disciplined, client-first approach to every assignment.
Colt had extensive experience in all phases of the transaction process, from underwriting and valuation to property positioning, buyer outreach, and negotiation through closing. His background in both appraisals and structured finance gives him a unique perspective and allows him to anticipate how buyers, lenders, and the larger market will view an asset, which helps him price and position clients properties to maximize value.
Colt built his foundation in complex underwriting and valuation as a commercial real estate appraiser, spending four years with CBRE Valuation & Advisory Services in California’s Silicon Valley and one year with Colliers in Manhattan. He then spent the next four years at a New York City-based bond rating agency. There he served as a director where he led and managed the rating process for conduit and single-asset single-borrower (SASB) CMBS transactions collateralized by commercial real estate across the United States. These experiences gave him a deep understanding of real estate finance and capital markets, and he now applies it on behalf of his clients across the State of Florida.
