Walter has more than 25 years of commercial real estate investment and leasing experience throughout the United States. He has closed transactions across the real estate spectrum, including self storage, apartments, retail, and redevelopment sites. Walter has facilitated several 1031 exchanges in recent years and has represented investors in the purchase of hospitality assets. Walter is seen as a subject matter expert within the self storage industry and is regularly asked to present at conventions and gatherings.
Walter has helped facilitate the sale of many self storage assets, including the 46-property
A-American Portfolio which traded for $168 million, and the sale of a 600,000 square foot industrial facility which traded for $30 million in Northern California. He has also represented and sold assets for self storage REITs, such as CubeSmart.
Walter began investing and managing real estate assets and pursued licensing as a real estate agent. In 2008, he then relocated to Southern California and began his career at Marcus & Millichap.
