Blake Cohen is a Senior Vice President in CBRE’s Debt & Structured Finance Group. Mr. Cohen specializes in arranging debt and equity financing for multifamily properties. With over 16 years of experience, Mr. Cohen is a trusted advisor with deep knowledge and understanding of CRE capital markets and is able to counsel clients on the most accretive capital solutions specific to any business plan. Over the course of his career, he has been involved in hundreds of transactions totaling in excess of $5 billion in debt and equity placements. His experience spans a large assortment of deal types and risk profiles, and he has transacted utilizing a variety of executions arranged through various types of capital providers including agency, life company, commercial bank, debt fund, and CMBS.
Prior to joining CBRE, Mr Cohen was a Managing Director in the Equity, Debt & Structured Finance Group at Cushman & Wakefield where he led the firm’s multifamily financing efforts in the Southeast for nearly 5 years. Prior to his time with Cushman & Wakefield, he spent over 6 years with Voya Investment Management where he was responsible for originating commercial real estate loans on behalf of the company’s general account as well as third-party clients. Mr. Cohen’s previous industry experience also includes years in the commercial real estate group at RR Donnelley Global Real Estate Services where performed a variety of underwriting, asset management, and due diligence services on behalf of institutional clients.
