Casey Benson Smith is a Vice Presient with the Mid-Atlantic region of CBRE’s National Retail Partners (NRP). The NRP is the leading retail investment sales team in the country, backed by the most powerful retail and capital markets platforms in the world. Casey is responsible for developing and maintaining client relationships, marketing the team’s assignments and executing the team’s business objectives. Casey focuses on institutional grade retail assets and helps clients achieve their goals and produce exceptional results.
Prior to joining NRP, Casey specialized in both landlord and tenant retail representation in the Washington, DC region. On the landlord side, Casey focused on premier, mixed-use lifestyle centers, specialty retail centers, and urban street retail space. She worked with landlords to develop merchandising strategies as well as negotiate and execute lease transactions. On the occupier side, Casey provided market rollout strategies, target site selection, and leasing services to local and national retailers. Casey initially joined CBRE in 2013, serving as a client services specialist in CBRE’s Los Angeles office. She moved to the D.C. area in 2016 and worked as a transaction manager before shifting to retail brokerage in 2018.
