Clayton Collins specializes in advising office occupiers—from local start-ups to Fortune 50 companies—on strategies that transform real estate into a competitive advantage. His expertise spans strategic location planning, lease negotiations, workplace strategy, and portfolio management, with a particular focus on multi-market portfolio consultation. Clayton helps organizations align space decisions with business objectives, ensuring every recommendation supports performance, culture, and financial goals.

Together with his business partners, Don Shupe and Heath Chapman, Clayton is part of one of the premier office occupier advisory and transaction services teams in the Raleigh-Durham market. With more than 50 years of combined experience, the team delivers tailored solutions for both local and national clients, managing everything from single transactions to complex, multi-market portfolio assignments.

Clayton leverages a creative background—shaped by a decade as an Emmy-nominated television producer—to simplify complex decisions and foster alignment around key objectives. Known as an energetic, versatile team player and connector, he brings a unique perspective to clients navigating workplace evolution to attract and retain top talent.

Recognized by Raleigh Magazine as a "Millennial Maverick” Clayton is also deeply engaged in the Triangle business community. He has served as President of the Triangle Area Office Building Association, contributed to NAIOP’s Developing Leaders board, and is a founding member of the First Tee of the Triangle’s Game Changers Council. His leadership reflects a commitment to both professional excellence and community impact.

Outside of work, Clayton is an avid ultramarathoner—having completed the Umstead 100—and enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and identical twin daughters.
