Alex Kozakov co-leads one of CBRE’s top investment property sales teams, based in the South Bay region of Los Angeles. Alongside his longtime partner, Patrick Wade, Alex advises clients on the acquisition and disposition of retail investment assets throughout California and the Western United States. Their expertise spans strip centers, anchored shopping centers, single tenant net leased properties, and urban infill redevelopment sites.
Since teaming up in 2006, Alex and Patrick have established one of the most active and respected retail investment practices in the region. Together, they have successfully sold more than 350 properties valued at over $2.8 billion, representing a deep track record of execution across more than two decades in the business. With a focus on HNW Private Investors, Family Offices and Institutional Advisors, the team has built one of the largest investor and capital networks in the industry—driven by long standing relationships, repeat clients, and a reputation for delivering certainty and exceptional results.

Since moving to CBRE in 2013, they have continued to expand their influence and are regularly referenced as one of Southern California’s leading retail investment brokerage teams. Their insights have been featured in industry publications such as GlobeSt.com, the Los Angeles Times, the Los Angeles Business Journal, Bisnow and others. They are consistently ranked as CBRE’s Top Retail Investment Sales Team in Los Angeles.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Alex is deeply committed to community involvement and philanthropy. He serves on as an Executive board director of JBBBSLA and is also the Chair of the Camp Committee of the Foundation for Camp Bob Waldorf, mentors junior brokers, and remains actively engaged in several charitable organizations across Los Angeles. His strong sense of family and community guides both his personal and professional life.
Alex is a graduate of the University of Arizona and a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), where he previously served on the LA Next Generation Committee. He and his wife, Kelly, live in Encino and enjoy spending their free time with their three children—Gia, Mila, and Eli.
