Professional Experience
John is a senior member of a top performing Advisory & Transaction team, helping companies align their real estate with their business strategy. John negotiates all manner of real estate transactions (including purchase and sale agreements, lease acquisitions, dispositions and terminations), advises clients in building strategies around their real estate objectives, and executes on their behalf.
Having personally conducted nearly 2,200 transactions over his 37+ year career, John’s experience encompasses hundreds of millions of square feet and valuation. He has worked with a variety of product types, including supply chain and industrial projects, large land parcels, office buildings, data centers, retail shopping centers, medical facilities, churches, and even underground buildings and bunkers.
John has been a member of the CBRE team since 2000. Prior to joining CBRE, John was Director of Leasing at Walnut Creek based Hall Equities Group, where he was responsible for negotiating leases for a portfolio of 25 office, retail and medical facilities.
John stays physically active by sailing, hiking and traveling by motorcycle and he enjoys spending his free time reading and studying psychology, philosophy, spirituality, religion and adventure. He is an active donor at Door of Faith Orphanage in La Mision, Baja and Kiva Microfinance Company across the world. His family includes his wife of 30 years, three grown children and a little rescue dog named Mack.
