The most common CRE&F technology strategy remains a hybrid approach combining internal and externally owned and managed technology.

- Similar to previous years, CRE&F most commonly leverages data for strategic portfolio analysis, operational reporting and data-driven decision support for business leaders.
- Notably, in the last 12 months there has been a 13% dip in corporations solely leveraging technology through their service provider partners—14% versus 27% in 2022.
A hybrid CRE&F technology approach is currently the norm, but data indicates change is on the horizon.
That said, CRE&F leaders are anticipating a change in this strategy in the coming years. As illustrated in the downloadable PDF, Figure 15 (Outsourcing Solutions) reveals that outsourcing of Technology, Data and Analytics is expected to significantly increase within the next 1-3 years.
