Karthik is an experienced Business Analyst who is adept in transforming raw customer data into intuitive dashboard visualizations using best-in-class data analytics engines like Tableau, PowerBI and RoamBI. He conveys key insights to executive management, which enables them to make data-driven business decisions. He has converted raw data in structured or unstructured format from SQL Server, MySQL, Access, Excel and csv databases into actionable insights.
Karthik joined the CBRE - Cincinnati team in May 2018 and leads portfolio analytics for the GWS Portfolio Advisory and Transaction Services team. In his current and previous roles in the last 10+ years, he has implemented business intelligence solutions for customers in different verticals like Telecom, Supply Chain, Quality, Facilities Management, Finance, IOT, Real Estate and Portfolio Management.
Karthik has been involved in each step of the Analytics solution development process starting from gathering client requirements, understanding their current manual reporting process and finding out the data challenges that they are facing. He understands the key elements in the different data sources that the client has and has discovered underlying patterns in the key performance indicators that are of business value to the customers and has automated the insight discovery process.
Karthik has the experience of performing Regression Analysis, GAP Analysis, Cluster Analysis, Pareto Analysis, creating Scorecard Reports, searching for Availabilities data in different markets, finding Sales Comps, Lease Comps, Landlord Debt information using Costar and has developed Benchmark dashboard views to compare the Actuals against the Target. If specific story board views are required by the client with specific filter selections to answer certain questions, he has created custom dashboards for that purpose. He has discovered outliers in the data and identified the reasons for the outlier. Karthik has proposed situation specific recommendations through the dashboards based on the business requirement.
While doing his master’s degree from UT Dallas, Karthik was an active leader in the Indian Students Association and has managed several events in the university.
