Kurt McGarry is a First Vice President on CBRE’s Southeast Multifamily team, based in the firm’s Atlanta office. He specializes in supporting and executing investment sales assignments across the Atlanta MSA and the broader Sunbelt region, with responsibilities that include business development, capital sourcing, and full-cycle deal execution. His primary focus is advising private and high‑net‑worth investors, as well as institutional buyers, seeking multifamily investment opportunities throughout Atlanta and the Southeast.
Kurt began his investment sales career in 2013 with Marcus and Millichap and joined CBRE in 2019 after being recruited by the firm’s senior partners. Since then, he has played a key role in transactions representing more than $5 billion in aggregate multifamily sales volume.
Throughout his career, Kurt has received several industry accolades, including recognition by the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors as a Million Dollar Club member, designation as a CoStar Power Broker, and receipt of the NAA award during his tenure at Marcus & Millichap—an honor reserved for the firm’s top-producing brokers nationwide.
He remains actively involved in industry organizations such as the Atlanta Apartment Association and the National Multifamily Housing Council. Kurt also serves on the Property Engagement Committee for Open Doors, an Atlanta-based nonprofit dedicated to reducing homelessness and expanding access to stable housing.
