Tai Cohen serves as Vice Chairman of CBRE’s Southeast Multifamily team, where he co-leads the Carolinas Multifamily Investment Sales platform. In this role, Tai provides strategic oversight and execution across all multifamily brokerage operations in North and South Carolina, leveraging his extensive market knowledge and leadership skills to drive outstanding results for clients.
With over 13 years of experience in the multifamily real estate sector, Tai has played a pivotal role in more than 500 transactions, encompassing over 75,000 units and exceeding $10 billion in total value. His impressive track record demonstrates a consistent ability to navigate complex transactions and deliver value through data-driven insights and customized investment strategies.
Before joining CBRE, Tai spent nearly a decade at Cushman & Wakefield as an Executive Managing Director and senior leader within the Sunbelt Multifamily Advisory, where he co-led the Carolinas Multifamily Investment Sales team. During his tenure, he was instrumental in expanding the firm’s footprint across the Carolinas, focusing on strategic growth and client success in brokerage operations. Following his time at Cushman & Wakefield, Tai founded and served as the Managing Principal of NorthStar REI, a boutique investment advisory firm specializing in multifamily capital markets.
