Louis Smart serves as a Senior Vice President at CBRE, where he specializes in advising institutional and high-net-worth investors on the disposition of Multifamily, Build-to-Rent (BTR) properties, and development land across the Carolinas. With a deep understanding of capital markets and a strategic approach to investment sales, Louis brings a wealth of experience and insight to every transaction.

Prior to joining CBRE, Louis led the institutional Multifamily and BTR platform for the Carolinas at Cushman & Wakefield, where he spent three years building a strong track record of success. His career began on the principal side of the business at HQ Capital, a boutique real estate private equity firm based in New York City. During his five-year tenure, he focused on joint venture multifamily development across the Sunbelt region, sourcing and executing limited partner investments.

Louis’ diverse background across both advisory and principal roles gives him a unique perspective and a comprehensive understanding of the multifamily investment landscape.
